"I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Basimma for an Achilles tendon rupture that happened 10 years ago as a competitive gymnast. She was referred to me by my orthopedic doctor to try BFR therapy. I hesitated for two years prior to my first appointment, because I didn't think it would be worth the investment.

I finally mustered up the courage to reach her after watching the 2020 Olympics.

Seeing her was absolutely worth the time, money, and energy. For a decade, I felt hopeless that there would be no improvement in my muscle growth to support my basic activities.

Through my BFR sessions with Basimma, I built strength in my calf muscle that I didn't think was possible. I also learned so much about my body and practical strategies for how I can support my long-term health.

After just one session with her, I felt confident that I was in good hands. She is caring, supportive, knowledgeable, and I left every session feeling stronger, happier, and more hopeful for the future. I wish I knew sooner how much I needed her support and expertise.

I would not hesitate to see Basimma again, and I would recommend her to anyone who wants to prioritize their health and wellbeing."

"I've worked with Basimma on and off for over 12 years, for multiple different injuries (shoulder, knee, and ankle). I keep going back to her for so many reasons:

-She is incredibly knowledgeable, and she gets results! She's been able to get me pain-free with all of my varied injuries, using a variety of techniques, equipment, and exercises.

-She's creative. If one exercise she'd suggested was too painful or didn't seem to be working she was readily able to modify it.

-She offers clients structure and sets expectations early. Within a session or two she has been able to give me a treatment plan, including how many sessions we should do in person (around 6-8 for my moderate injuries) and how long she expected before I was fully healed (assuming I did my PT exercises daily).

-Most importantly she is kind, personable, and fun! I know PT being fun sounds unlikely but that has been my experience with Basimma.”

If you are looking for a physical therapist who can help you heal in a comforting and supportive way you should absolutely work with Basimma. I recommend her to my friends and family constantly and will definitely work with her again in the future."

Basimma is an amazing, kind, and gentle PT. I met her (being a PT myself) while teaching at the University of St. Augustine. She is a diligent therapist and gives her best to the students she teaches and to her patients she treats. I was lucky enough to be treated by her for a frozen shoulder. She put a lot of time and care into my recovery. She would use the latest treatments available, like BFR. She was also open to working in conjunction with an orthopedic doctor in case I needed a steroid shot. Given her expertise in manual therapy, she would spend a lot of time manually mobilizing my shoulder joint and the surrounding soft tissue.

I would highly recommend her as a Physical Therapist from a patient and PT perspective.

Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Basimma to anyone needing physical therapy/rehabilitation.   When I saw her after injuring my back last year, her expert knowledge and deep experience became quickly apparent.   She has a remarkable understanding of human anatomy and after careful listening was able to help with immediate pain relief as well as get me on gentle strengthening and posture exercises.   She advised on how I could support my healing with other complementary physical activities and home exercises.  A few times when I was in acute pain I was able to text her and she was able to provide immediate and valuable guidance, even sending videos on appropriate release movements.  Basimma is always thinking about what more she can do to serve you and stays up to date on the latest research.

But above and beyond her great skill and experience, Basimma is the very rare "complete package".   She is incredibly kind, compassionate, and empathetic.   She is also very supportive and encouraging, and had complete faith that I would make a full recovery.  I am blessed to say that I am almost there and back to running, yoga, and living my life!
